And now a little bit about traveling and meditation, and what makes me feel good beside my work.
Travel is an important component of any person’s well-being. Just as healthy eating, exercising and meditating – traveling helps to shape our personality by opening the mind to new impressions, perspectives and ideas. It is important to reserve time in your life to travel and clean your mind, take a deep breath of air cleaned from rush and stress and escape from day-to-day routine.
I know people who after trips to new places such as Caribbean or Europe feel totally changed. I felt the same way after my recent trip to the West Coast, one of my best trips ever. First, I love America and I think that it is an amazing country, with so diverse and stunning nature. You will not find some other place where you can see deserts, oceans, mountains, woods, tropics, mineral springs and so on in one country. And believe me I know with what to compare, because I grew up in Russia, I had been in Asia, Africa, Europe and even in New Zealand, but this variety you can see only in the USA. Second, I finally got to spend some time in the Grand Canyon and saw its gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. Third, I visited almost all cities on shore of the West Coast from San Francisco to San Diego. Finally, I could share all it’s beauty with my lovely parents and spend more time with them.
And now I think that since we have this beautiful nature here then all Americans should take time to go and explore new places. For me every time when I see a new place, culture, people I get inspired and empowered from my daily live. I had chance to meditate on Grand Canyon and it was unforgettable experience. But for those who cannot drive or fly so far, you can just drive couple of hours from city step out at some wilderness and take time. Just sit down take deep breath, close your eyes and have smile on your face. Meditating in the wilderness give you new feelings, it calms you down, enriches you with air, increases control of your body and gives you good energy. As others have pointed out during meditation you can feel this power by been surrounded by blowing wind, the sway of trees, birds songs, quiet noise of running water and smell of fresh air, “you begin to refine your senses once again and as a result re-sensitize yourselves”.
Yet, there are different kind of meditation techniques, one needs not to become a mystic to meditate. I do it for my body and mind. I feel good about it but let’s not go crazy and try to be like immortal Chinese xians on the mountains. Although some people think that meditation will give you answers or will show you the right way, and even show your future I know that this most likely won’t happen.
Instead, you should meditate just to clean up your mind, find harmony and peace. You can read more meditation tips for beginners here – a great website about the art of living.
Therefore, it is good to meditate every morning at home, but even better to go out to some place in solitude and meditate there because this meditation gives you more energy and recharges all your 5 senses. Plus it is very important to workout constantly and do yoga because the mind makes your body move in certain way, and if your mind is not clean then your moves are not in control and can cause injury. And do not forget to travel from time to time; it helps you open the mind to new impressions, perspectives and ideas.
