The arts have always been at the core of Irina Lapteva’s life starting in Siberia, Russia where she was born. Ms. Lapteva got her training at the Yakut Choreographic College to become a professional ballerina with Vaganova training. She worked and toured with the State Theater of Opera and Ballet on many stages in Russian Federation and abroad, which allowed her to acquire valuable performing experience.

After being a professional dancer, Ms. Lapteva moved to Moscow to learn business side of the arts. She got full cover scholarship to study in Moscow University for Bachelor and Master Degree in Operational and  Project Management. While studying she was actively teaching and became a choreographer and instructor, specialized in classical ballet, modern dance, and pilates.

In 2010 Irina Lapteva moved to New York, where she was invited by one of the biggest and oldest Russian ballet theaters in NYC, the Brighton Ballet Theater (BBT). Her experience and training education from Russia enabled Irina Lapteva to become an extraordinary professional artist and instructor in the US. Irina Lapteva is managing Education Programs by BBT in community centers, public schools, and senior centers organizing residency and after school programs, workshops, performances, and festival.

Irina Lapteva didn’t stop on that and she got another scholarship to study for her second Master Degree in Leadership in the Arts and Entertaining Industry at the New York Institute of Technology in NYC. Here Ms. Lapteva learned about all aspects of the arts industry – artistic and business, nonprofit and commercial, producing and presenting – while staying focused on being a performing arts project manager and consultant.

Last year Irina Lapteva assisted in planning and organizing audition tours for the Joffrey Ballet School, and helped execute fundraising events and gala at the American Ballet Theatre.  As a consultant she helped several dance companies to develop a new development and marketing strategy and assisted in organizing the YAGP and WBAC competitions.
